Born in Long Beach, California and raised among the beautiful mountains of Asheville, North Carolina, I wasted no time stepping into my first big adventure—I joined the U.S. Army the day after turning 18. I proudly served on Active Duty as a Supply Sergeant, where I built lifelong friendships, gained unforgettable experiences, and developed a deep appreciation for everyone who serves. It’s also where I met my husband, and this year we celebrated 13 wonderful years together.

After completing my contract, I dove into college with plans for a healthcare career, married the love of my life, and started growing our family. I soon discovered that healthcare wasn’t where my heart truly belonged. As a military spouse, I often took the lead at home—caring for our children while furthering my education, and embracing every opportunity to teach and guide them. Those years shaped who I am and sparked my passion for learning, serving others, and creating meaningful experiences for my family and community.

Our journey has taken us to Alabama, Georgia, South Korea, Tennessee, and now sunny Florida, where we’re finally ready to plant roots. In 2020, life surprised us with quarantine twins—making an unforgettable year even more extraordinary. Navigating pregnancy and lockdown at the same time had me searching for a creative outlet, and that’s when I discovered my love for designing digital products. What began as a way to support my own children’s learning and organize our home quickly grew into something much more—a passion that continues to inspire everything I create.

I officially formed Alaqua Bay Designs LLC in 2022, and building this business has brought me so much joy. Creating in my spare time allows me to grow something I love while still managing our home, teaching full-time, and soaking up every moment with my kids. As a family, we enjoy traveling, checking off bucket-list adventures, and playing games together—because around here, we believe in making the most of it.
